Earlier this afternoon, India women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur announced she is stepping down from the captaincy across all formats. In an emotional farewell note shared on her Instagram, Kaur reflected on her journey as India’s leader and the sacrifices she made for the team andIndian women’s cricket.
“I have given everything I had to this team and to Indian women’s cricket — my blood, my sweat, my time, and many times, a part of my own game and personal ambitions.”
