In a significant development for Pakistan’s cricket governance, Mansoor Qadir, a retired PMS Officer (BS-21), has officially been appointed as the Election Commissioner of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The appointment was made by PCB Patron and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in accordance with Article 29 of the PCB Constitution (2014).

Following his appointment, Mansoor Qadir assumed charge of his office and held a meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. During the meeting, Qadir apprised the Chairman of his new responsibilities and commitment to conducting the upcoming electoral processes fairly and transparently.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his confidence in Qadir’s ability to perform his duties with “integrity and dedication,” adding that the role of Election Commissioner is pivotal to maintaining the transparency and credibility of the PCB’s administrative structure.
The appointment comes at a time when several important elections are anticipated within the PCB framework, including regional cricket bodies and other governing units.
This move is expected to set the tone for free and fair elections within the PCB as part of the broader mandate to enhance professionalism and governance in Pakistan’s cricket ecosystem.
