Pakistan Shaheens gear up for Top End T20 Series 2025 opener against Bangladesh A

The Pakistan Shaheens, captained by Muhammad Irfan Khan, are all set to begin their campaign in the Top End T20 Series 2025 as they face Bangladesh A in the tournament opener on Thursday, August 14 at TIO Stadium, Darwin, Australia.
The match will commence at 7:00 PM local time (3:30 PM PKT).
The Shaheens arrived in Darwin on August 10 and have completed three rigorous practice sessions under the guidance of head coach Ghulam Ali. The tournament spans from August 14 to 24, featuring 11 teams and 13 matches across five venues in Darwin.
This marks the Shaheens’ third consecutive appearance in the event. In 2023, under Rohail Nazir, the team lost the final to Northern Territory Strike by 46 runs. In 2024, led by Mohammad Haris, they exited in the semi-finals after a 30-run defeat to the Adelaide Strikers.
Speaking exclusively to PCB Digital, captain Muhammad Irfan Khan said: “We are aiming to take the best possible combination into the match. Bangladesh A are a strong side, so our focus will be on fielding the right combination, especially as this is the first game of the tournament and we want to start well.”
“We have trained according to the conditions and each player has been given a specific role to perform. The main focus is to execute those roles effectively in the match so that the team can achieve success.”
