Argentina have been crowned champions of the FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup after defeating hosts and world No. 1 Netherlands 3–1 in a dramatic penalty shootout in the final.
The two sides battled through a tense final before Argentina held their nerve in the shootout to secure a memorable victory over the Dutch on home soil.

The triumph marks Argentina’s third Women’s Hockey World Cup title, adding another major chapter to the nation’s proud hockey history.
For the Netherlands, the defeat ends their campaign just short of the ultimate prize despite entering the tournament as the world’s top-ranked side and enjoying home support.

Argentina’s victory is a major statement on the international stage, as Las Leonas once again proved their ability to deliver when it mattered most.
