Islamabad: Walee Technology has officially secured ownership of Multan Sultans, the final franchise slot of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11th edition, after winning the high-profile auction with a record bid of PKR 2.45 billion on Monday evening.
The bidding, organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), began with a base price of PKR 1.82 billion and quickly turned into an intense contest among Walee Technology, CD Ventures, and Particle Igniter. What started as a modest opening bid soon escalated into a fierce financial battle, reflecting the rapidly growing commercial value of the PSL.
CD Ventures opened proceedings with a bid of PKR 1.83 billion, prompting immediate counteroffers from Walee Technology, which aggressively raised the stakes. Particle Igniter later entered the fray, pushing the competition even further as bids surged beyond the PKR 2.2 billion mark. However, it was Walee Technology’s final offer of PKR 2.45 billion that proved decisive, surpassing all rival bids and sealing the franchise rights.
The auction followed strict PCB bidding rules, including a minimum incremental raise of PKR 10 million, a single five-minute strategic timeout per bidder, and a final confirmation once no higher offer was made after the auctioneer’s closing call.

The successful acquisition represents one of the highest franchise sale values in PSL history, underlining the league’s growing stature as a premier cricket property in the region. Industry experts believe the deal signals strong investor confidence in Pakistan’s sports and entertainment economy.
With Walee Technology now officially at the helm, attention turns to the franchise’s future strategy, branding direction, and squad-building plans ahead of PSL 11.
The PCB is expected to release a formal statement detailing ownership transition and league preparations in the coming days.
