The Sialkot Stallionz have appointed former Australian Test captain Tim Paine as their new head coach, marking a major step in the franchise’s long-term vision for success in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The franchise announced the decision through an official press release, describing Paine’s appointment as a significant milestone in building a competitive and professional cricketing structure.

Team owner Kamil Khan expressed strong confidence in the former wicketkeeper-batter, highlighting his leadership qualities and vast experience at the international level.

“Tim Paine represents leadership at the highest level of world cricket. His journey as an international captain and his extensive coaching experience make him the ideal person to lead our cricketing vision,” Khan said. “We are not just building a team for one season — we are building a culture.”

Paine, who previously led Australia in Test cricket, brings with him a wealth of experience as a strategist, mentor, and high-performance leader. His coaching background includes roles in Australia’s domestic structure, the Big Bash League, and Australia A, along with involvement in national development programs.

According to the franchise, Paine is known for creating high-performing environments and nurturing young talent, qualities that align with Sialkot Stallionz’s long-term ambitions.

“Our focus is on discipline, clarity, and sustained excellence,” Khan added. “Tim’s values align perfectly with the Stallionz ethos — strong character, clear vision, and uncompromising standards.”

The appointment comes as the Stallionz prepare for the next phase of their PSL journey, aiming to strengthen their squad and establish themselves as serious title contenders.

General Manager Usman Munir also emphasized that Paine’s arrival reflects the franchise’s commitment to professionalism and global expertise.

With an experienced international coach at the helm, Sialkot Stallionz are hopeful that Paine’s leadership will help transform the team into a consistent and competitive force in Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament.
