The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the Pakistan Shaheens squad for the upcoming white-ball series against England Lions, set to be played in Abu Dhabi from February 20 to March 9.

The tour will feature a competitive schedule comprising three T20 matches followed by a five-match 50-over series, providing valuable exposure to Pakistan’s emerging talent ahead of future international assignments.

Shamyl Hussain has been appointed captain of the side, leading a youthful and energetic squad that includes promising players such as Abdul Samad, Arafat Minhas, Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Hasan Nawaz, and Mohammad Salman. Wicketkeeping duties will be handled by Rohail Nazir and Saad Baig, while the bowling attack will be strengthened by Saad Masood, Sameer Minhas, Shahid Aziz, and Sufyan Moqim.

The three-match T20I series will begin on February 20, with the second encounter scheduled for February 22 and the third on February 24. Following the conclusion of the T20s, the teams will shift focus to the longer format.

The five-match ODI series will commence on February 27. The second match will be played on March 1, followed by the third on March 4. The fourth and fifth ODIs are set for March 6 and March 9 respectively, bringing the tour to a close.

PCB officials stated that the series will serve as an important platform for young players to gain international exposure and demonstrate their abilities under competitive conditions. The tour is also expected to strengthen Pakistan’s bench strength and prepare future stars for senior national duties.

Cricket fans will be eagerly watching the Shaheens as they take on England Lions in what promises to be a closely contested and exciting series in Abu Dhabi.
