Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha has admitted that England outplayed his side, acknowledging that a series of mistakes and inexperienced batting contributed to Pakistan’s defeat.

Speaking after the loss, Salman conceded that Pakistan struggled to adapt to the conditions, particularly with the bat.

“England have outplayed us and it is fair to say. We have made many mistakes. Our batting is inexperienced in these conditions.”

Salman also defended Pakistan’s pace resources, pointing out that the team possesses bowlers capable of bowling at speeds around 140kph. However, he felt the three fast bowlers who had performed strongly against the West Indies were better suited to the conditions.

“We do have bowlers who can click 140kph, but these three fast bowlers had done well in West Indies and these conditions suit them,” Salman said.

The Pakistan skipper admitted that the team must learn from its mistakes and respond strongly in the next match.

“We need to eradicate mistakes and come back stronger in the next match,” Salman said.

The defeat will leave Pakistan searching for answers, particularly in the batting department, as the team looks to make a strong response in the next game.
