Sahibzada Farhan highlights Pakistan’s aggressive T20 batting mindset

Pakistan T20 captain Sahibzada Farhan has highlighted the team’s improved aggressive batting approach in 2026, pointing to an increase in six-hitting frequency and higher strike rates as key differences in their performances.
Farhan said Pakistan had made significant progress in their power-hitting, with the team now hitting a six every 15 balls compared to one every 25 balls previously.
“If you look at our performance in T20s in 2026, you’ll see the difference. We have scored the most sixes. Earlier, we used to hit a six every 25 balls, but now we hit one every 15 balls,” Farhan said.
He also emphasised the importance of maintaining an attacking mindset throughout the batting order, claiming that every batter was operating at a strike rate of around 150.
“Every batter has a strike rate of 150. That’s how T20 cricket is played. If you play this way, you’ll win. It’s all about having the same mindset,” he added.
Farhan stressed that consistency in approach would be crucial for Pakistan as they look to build on their performances and return stronger in upcoming matches.
“We’ll come back stronger and play the same way,” he concluded, reiterating his confidence in the team’s aggressive brand of cricket.
