Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has described his six-hitting display against India in the Asia Cup 2025 as the most memorable moment of his career, saying it earned him global recognition as a power hitter.

Speaking about his rise, Farhan revealed that he has undergone a significant mental shift in his approach to the game. “Earlier, I used to feel pressure to perform, but now I just enjoy my cricket, and that has helped me deliver better results,” he said.

The right-handed opener credited Iftikhar Ahmed and coach Abdur Rehman for playing key roles in transforming his batting. He noted that their guidance, particularly in improving his strike rate, has been instrumental in his recent success.

Despite his achievements, Farhan emphasized that he is still a work in progress. He is currently focusing on improving strike rotation and taking more singles, aiming to become a more complete T20 batter in the coming matches.

Since the start of 2025, Farhan has emerged as one of the most dominant players in T20 cricket, leading the charts for both most runs and most sixes. His remarkable form also saw him set a record in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, where he scored 383 runs in a single edition, including two centuries — the highest tally in one tournament.

Currently representing Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League, Farhan is opening the innings alongside Steve Smith. He described the experience of playing with the Australian star as a valuable learning opportunity, adding that their partnership has been highly productive for the team.
