Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has come under scrutiny over his performances in One Day Internationals, with critics questioning whether he still fits into Pakistan’s ODI plans.

Faheem has featured in 45 ODI matches for Pakistan national cricket team across a career that has spanned nearly a decade. However, his numbers in the format have sparked debate among analysts and fans.

With the bat, Faheem averages just 14, while his bowling average stands at 45. The statistics become even more concerning when performances against Zimbabwe national cricket team are excluded, as his bowling average reportedly rises close to 60.

Despite spending several years in the ODI setup, critics argue that Faheem has yet to deliver a truly match-winning performance in the format. This has led to calls for Pakistan’s team management and selectors to reassess his role in the 50-over squad.

While Faheem has recently shown signs of improvement in T20 internationals, some observers believe Pakistan should move forward with younger or more specialized options in ODIs as the team begins planning for future global tournaments.

The debate reflects the broader discussion around Pakistan’s squad balance and selection strategy, as the team continues to search for consistent performers in the ODI format.
