PCB Talent Hunt Program identifies emerging school cricket talent from Mardan and Sahiwal


LAHORE: Under the PCB Talent Hunt Program, district-level school cricket tournaments in Mardan and Sahiwal have successfully concluded, helping uncover new talent from both public and private institutions.

In Sahiwal, nine schools competed across 19 matches. The Government Comprehensive School Sahiwal emerged victorious after defeating Divisional Public School Ravi Campus in a thrilling final.


Meanwhile, in Mardan, eight schools participated in 13 matches. The Government Higher Secondary School Gujar Garhi claimed the title by overcoming Ghazali Public School Katlang in the final.

The winning school teams from each district will now advance to the next stage of the PCB Talent Hunt Program, where they will face winners from other districts in regional-level competitions.


The program, designed to scout and develop young cricketing talent from across Pakistan, includes participation from 175 government schools and 218 private schools nationwide, reflecting a strong commitment to grassroots cricket development.
