PCB calls up 20 bowlers for Two-Phase development Camp in Lahore

LAHORE, 23 August 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called up 20 bowlers, including 12 pacers and eight spinners, for a two-phase development camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.

The camp, part of the NCA’s player development programme, will provide an opportunity for the bowlers to work closely with NCA coaches and the Pakistan men’s white-ball coaching staff.

The five-day camp for fast bowlers will run from 24 to 28 August, while the spinners will attend from 31 August to 4 September. During the camps, the bowlers will undergo detailed technical and tactical sessions, while their performances in their most recent competitive cricket will also be reviewed.

Seven uncapped fast bowlers have been selected: Razaullah, Mohammad Salman, Qayyum Khan, Abdul Subhan, Abuzar, Mohammad Imran Jnr and Muhammad Imran. The capped pacers include Mohammad Salman Mirza, Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Mohammad Hasnain and Faheem Ashraf.

Among the spinners, Mehran Mumtaz is the only uncapped player, while Mubasir Khan, Saad Masood, Faisal Akram, Arafat Minhas, Abrar Ahmed, Danish Aziz and Mohammad Nawaz are capped.

Notably, tearaway pacer Qayyum Khan is the only player in the 20-member group yet to make his competitive cricket debut. He featured once in this year’s President’s Trophy Grade-II Silver for Sports Board Punjab.

The PCB said the initiative is aimed at strengthening the country’s bowling resources and providing targeted development to emerging and established bowlers.
