The Pakistan women's cricket World Cup preparations are in full swing as the national squad continues its skills and fitness training camp in Karachi, which entered its ninth day today.

As part of the training, an intra-squad practice match was held at Oval Ground, with Team White captained by Muneeba Ali and Team Green led by Fatima Sana.

Fatima Sana won the toss and opted to bowl first, allowing Team White to bat under match-simulation conditions. The exercise is a critical step in assessing player performance and team dynamics ahead of the upcoming tour of Ireland and the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.

This intra-squad game is a vital component of the broader Pakistan women's cricket World Cup preparations, offering both senior and young players a chance to impress selectors and fine-tune their roles within the squad.

Ongoing Camp Details

The skills and fitness camp, organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), began earlier this month and will run until August 2. It includes fitness drills, specialist coaching, and simulated match scenarios aimed at grooming players for high-pressure situations.

The initiative is part of the PCB’s long-term vision to uplift the women’s cricket structure and ensure strong representation on the international stage — especially at major events like the Women’s World Cup.

Building Momentum for the World Cup

With the global tournament approaching fast, the Pakistan women's cricket World Cup preparations have entered a crucial phase. Coaches are focusing on physical endurance, tactical awareness, and team coordination to help the squad perform consistently against top-tier opponents.

The Ireland tour, scheduled just before the World Cup, will serve as a final test of form and strategy for the national side.
