Pakistan squad for AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers announced
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has officially announced the Pakistan squad for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, set to begin on September 20. This marks the national team’s debut appearance in the prestigious continental tournament.

The 16-member squad includes:
2 goalkeepers,
4 defenders,
4 right wingers,
3 left wingers, and
3 strikers.
Pakistan finds itself in Group D, alongside Iraq, Chinese Taipei, and host nation Saudi Arabia—all considered seasoned contenders in Asian futsal.
The AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers will run from September 20 to 24, featuring 31 teams vying for 16 coveted spots in the finals. The top team from each group and the seven best second-placed teams will qualify, in addition to host country Indonesia.
To secure qualification, Pakistan must top their group or rank among the best runners-up. With Iraq’s higher futsal ranking and Saudi Arabia’s home advantage, Pakistan will face a tough road ahead.
Still, this moment is historic. The Pakistan squad for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers reflects growing interest and investment in the sport. Many of the selected players have risen through local grassroots programs, indicating promising signs for the future.
The PFF views this as a “pivotal moment” in the national futsal journey and an opportunity to compete on a broader stage.
