Pakistan crowned CAVA Men’s Volleyball Champions with dominant win over Bangladesh

Pakistan produced a commanding performance to defeat Bangladesh 3-0 in the final of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Volleyball Championship, lifting the title in front of a jubilant home crowd at Islamabad’s Liaquat Gymnasium on Wednesday.

The hosts controlled the contest from the outset, taking the opening set 25-20 before raising their level in the second to claim a convincing 25-16 victory. Pakistan then completed the sweep by winning the third set 25-20, sealing another memorable triumph on home soil.

The victory marked Pakistan’s third CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship title, adding to their previous successes in 2022 and 2024. The Pakistan Volleyball Federation hailed the achievement as a historic milestone, praising the players, coaching staff, officials and supporters for their role in the team’s success.

Pakistan’s title-winning campaign was flawless from start to finish. They opened the tournament with straight-set victories over Sri Lanka and Bangladesh before comfortably defeating Nepal, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan 3-0 in the league stage. In the semi-final, they once again outclassed Sri Lanka in straight sets to book their place in the final.

Remarkably, Pakistan did not lose a single set throughout the entire tournament, underlining their dominance and further strengthening their reputation as one of the leading volleyball teams in the Central Asian region.
