Arch-rivals Pakistan and India are once again set to face off, this time at the Emerging Asia Cup 2025, which will be played in Doha, Qatar, from November 14 to 23, according to a report by an Indian cricket website.
As per the report, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong will take part in the T20-format tournament. The eight teams have been split into two groups.
Crucially, Pakistan and India are placed in the same group, alongside UAE and Oman, ensuring a high-stakes group-stage clash between the two traditional foes.
The Emerging Asia Cup will feature ‘A’ teams of Test-playing nations, while full-strength sides from Associate countries will also participate, making it a mixed competitive platform for rising talent across the region.
A total of 15 matches are scheduled to be played in the tournament, all following the T20 format, offering young cricketers a chance to showcase their skills on an international stage.
Notably, this isn’t the only time the two nations will meet in November. The Hong Kong Sixes tournament is scheduled for November 7 to 9, with a Pakistan vs India match expected as part of the event. The Pakistan team is set to depart for the Sixes tournament on November 5.
These back-to-back encounters make November a highly anticipated month for cricket fans eagerly awaiting clashes between the subcontinent’s biggest cricketing rivals.
