Lahore Region Blues clinch the National U15 One-Day cup title

Lahore Region Blues emerged victorious in a thrilling final of the National U15 One-Day Cup 2025-26, defeating Karachi Region Whites by 29 runs at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday. The win earned Lahore Region Blues a prize of PKR 1 million, while Karachi Region Whites took home PKR 0.5 million.


Electing to bat first, Lahore Region Blues posted a competitive total of 246-7 in their allotted 50 overs. Muhammad Mubashir was the star of the innings, crafting a classy 95 off 94 balls, studded with eight boundaries and a six. No.3 batter Husnain Yaseen also played a crucial role with 63 runs from 80 balls, including six fours and a six. Mohsin Ali (23) and Salar Khan (20) added valuable contributions down the order.


For Karachi Region Whites, leg-spinner Azzam Abbasi impressed with figures of 4-56 in his 10 overs, keeping the Lahore innings in check.


In reply, Karachi struggled to maintain momentum despite a solid start. Opening batter Masood Ali top-scored with 53 off 73 balls, while Faisal Qurban made 42 from 52 balls. No.3 batter Aaish Malik contributed 37 in a 66-run second-wicket partnership with Masood.



However, from a promising 203-4, Karachi collapsed dramatically, losing their last six wickets for just 14 runs and finishing at 217 all out in 48.5 overs. Lahore’s left-arm spinner Aman Tasleem spearheaded the collapse with an exceptional spell of 4-26 in nine overs, including a maiden. Faizan Rasool supported with 3-48 from 8.5 overs.
