Hamza Nazar banned for two years, fined PKR 1 million after PCB inquiry

Pakistan cricketer Hamza Nazar has been banned from all domestic and international cricket for two years and fined PKR 1 million following a disciplinary inquiry conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to the information shared by the PCB, the investigation found that Nazar provided misleading and incomplete information during a visa application. The board concluded that his actions amounted to misrepresentation and non-disclosure, leading to strict disciplinary action.

The PCB stated that the decision was made after a committee completed its investigation into the matter. The board reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards dishonesty, emphasizing that all players are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency, both on and off the field.

The two-year suspension means Hamza Nazar will be ineligible to participate in any domestic competitions or represent Pakistan in international cricket during the ban. In addition to the suspension, he has also been ordered to pay a fine of PKR 1 million.

The case serves as a strong warning from the PCB that violations involving false declarations or withholding important information will result in severe consequences, regardless of a player’s status or level of competition.
